We take your privacy seriously and this policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Lifestyle Padel Limited is registered in England and Wales, company number 16842263. Our registered office is 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX. Information we collect

Newsletter sign up: if you sign up on this website to be kept in the loop about Padel in the Winelands, we collect your first name, last name and email address so we can update you about availability.

Booking and payment information: bookings and payments are processed through ThriveCart, our checkout provider. When you book, ThriveCart collects your name, email address and payment details on our behalf. Payment card details are handled directly by ThriveCart and its payment processor, we do not receive or store your card details.

Website usage data: like most websites, we use Squarespace’s built in analytics and cookies to understand how visitors use our site, for example which pages are viewed. This information is generally anonymous or aggregated.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to booking enquiries and process bookings, send you updates you have asked for about availability, understand how our website is used so we can improve it, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Our legal basis for processing

We rely on your consent when you sign up to our newsletter or accept cookies, and on the performance of a contract when you make a booking. Where relevant, we also rely on our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, and on our legal obligations, for example around accounting records.

Sharing your information

We share information with trusted service providers who help us run our business: ThriveCart for bookings and payments, and Squarespace for website hosting, analytics and cookies.

We also share relevant booking information, such as your name, room allocation, dietary requirements, and any details relevant to your health or safety during the Package, with the South African suppliers who deliver your holiday, including accomodation provider, our local transfer provider, and the wine estates and activity providers included in your Package. This is necessary to arrange and deliver the Package you have booked to comply with local requirements.

South Africa does not currently have a UK adequacy decision, which means UK data protection law requires us to put a specific safeguard in place before sharing your information with suppliers there. We do this using the International Data Transfer Agreement issued by the UK Information Commissioner's Office, or the UK Addendum to the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses, agreed directly with each supplier. You can ask us for a copy of the relevant agreement at any time.

Special category data

Some information we collect, such as details of a medical condition, disability, or a dietary requirement connected to a health condition, is treated as special category data under UK GDPR. We only collect this where you choose to give it to us, for example through our Guest Information Form or when telling us about a dietary or medical requirement, and we rely on your explicit consent to process it. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us, though this may affect our ability to accommodate the relevant requirement.

How long we keep your information

We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them for accounting and legal purposes, and newsletter sign up details until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, as set out below.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for access to your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or object to how we use it, ask for your information to be moved to another organisation, and withdraw consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our newsletter. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via the Contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you have concerns about how we handle your information.
