The finer details
-
Padel in the Winelands is hosted by Kylie Litchfield. Cape Town born and raised, London based, and someone who knows the Cape Winelands the way only a local can. Kylie designs every detail of the experience before you arrive and is there throughout to make sure it unfolds exactly as it should.
On the ground alongside her is her sister Ciara Stacey. Warm, funny, and completely unflappable, Ciara also grew up in Cape Town and has a gift for making every guest feel instantly at ease.
Oscar Marhuenda takes care of your padel coaching. Oscar is the kind of coach who lifts up the whole group. His energy, humour and dedication to every player set the tone from your first session. Nothing feels better than nailing your shot and hearing 'Perfecto!' shouted across the net. He will add so much more to your experience than being an amazing coach (though he is that too, with credentials and playing experience that speak for themselves!).

You will be sharing the estate with the same group of people for four days. But there is no expectation to be together outside of the padel sessions. Padel is by its nature one of the most sociable sports in the world and you will find that connections happen naturally on court and surrounding cafe.
If you want to be part of a farmhouse style table at the lunch and wine tastings, brilliant. If you would rather have a table for two or four, that is equally brilliant. Our team will understand your preferences and make sure you are exactly where you want to be for your ideal experience.
-
Oscar enjoys coaching players at every level, and that is one of his strengths. Whether you have been playing for years or have only just discovered padel, he will meet you where you are at from complete beginners to advanced players. The sessions will be split into levels and are designed to challenge without overwhelming. There is a lot of padel to be played, and it will be easier if you are fitter. However you do not need to be athlete fit, and there will be plenty of downtime to refuel and recover.

The Franschhoek valley is one of the most beautiful places in the world and there is no shortage of ways to spend a morning while one of you is on court.
Activities on and off the estate include hiking, yoga, bike rides, horse riding through the valley. Less active adventures for any tired muscle are spa treatments, cellar tours, art galleries or sitting with a good book by the pool.
The padel coaching and matches will be split by player levels from complete beginner to advanced.

Each afternoon takes you to a different wine farm in the Franschhoek valley. Every visit includes wine tasting and a long, unhurried lunch in breathtakingly beautiful settings.
Our tastings are thoughtfully curated so there is depth and insight available for those who want it, and the freedom to simply enjoy what is in the glass for those who don't. Nobody will feel out of place either way.
For guests who don't drink alcohol, the experience is no less special. The panoramic views, the food, the craft behind the wines are the real story.
